Imagine if your dream is to become the best volleyball player but your physical didn't allow it. What would you do, just give up or find another way to achieve what you want?. That's what our main character need to find out, a way so that he can compete with other players that are taller and bigger than him. It all started when he saw a volleyball ace nicknamed "Little Giant" played in a volleyball tournament. He then formed a volleyball team at his middle school and made it into a tournament. Their first match turns out to be their last when they are brutally squashed by the "King of the Court", Tobio Kageyama. After that loss, Hinata vows to surpass Kageyama by beating him at the high school tournament. So, he join Karasuno's High School Volleyball Team, only to find out that his rival, Kageyama is now his teammate. This is the story how they work together to make their volleyball team the best in Japan.

Let's start, even though this is still an anime, the plot is realistic enough to be compared to real life situation. They don't have special powers to help them in any matches. They have to always practice to improve their abilities so they wouldn't fall behind their rivals. Especially Hinata, he has passion for volleyball but never get any proper teaching in terms of volleyball. By the time he enter his high school, he is still considered a newbie because his ability in most aspects is below average except his jumping ability. So, he needs to work harder than anyone else and endure any hardships before he can be a proper player. On the other hand, Kageyama is already a fantastic player but he lacks teamwork. He is called "Dictator" in his middle school because he force everyone to obey his instructions. Then, he realizes that having a team in a court is better than having six player in the same court. This show really emphasize the importance of teamwork and friendship in sport. It also point out that not every thing can be transformed overnight, it needs time. So, for the plot of this show, I will gladly score it 8.5 out of 10.

Let's continue to the characters of this series. Oh, this show has a lot of interesting characters that you can relate with yourselves. I also love how the creator don't create any enemies. There are only rivals, not enemies. Sometimes, you will love the rivals because they can be compared to us. For example, Oikawa seems like a genius player from the outsiders perspective. But deep down, he works harder than anyone else because he doesn't want to lose his position as a setter to Kageyama that has been considered a genius when they are in the middle school. the interactions between characters in the show is really good that you think it might happen in real life too. they laugh together, cry, bicker when they are not in the same page, it really feels our my own life when I am watching it. Overall, I will score the characters 9 out of 10.

Now. it's time to discuss music and sound in haikyu. This anime have two openings and endings. The first opening is "Imagination" by SPYAIR and the second one is "Ah Yeah" by Sukima Switch. Like most anime, the first opening is always better than the first one. The same case happen to this show. But, the the difference between both of it aren't much that maybe some viewers aren't realizing it. In terms of the endings, both of them are quite good, but still average, nothing impressive. The background sound is really good and I love it. The sound are intense during the match and the viewers will be absorbed into the match. It's like a battle between a hero and a villain and you will get the goosebumps at the climax. To conclude, I will score the sound and music 8 out of 10 because they are good but not particularly amazing.

The last part would be the animation of the show. The show is produced by Production I.G and they have done their job properly. Even though Production I.G is still not on the same level as Kyoto Animation or Madhouse but they still manage to create many epic moments with their style of animation. There are a few moments like when Asahi's spike or Oikawa's serve that are really crazy. The animation just completely changed for the better. But, I still think they can improve their animation  so that the match will become more fluid. To conclude, I will score the animation of the show 8 out of 10.

In a nutshell, this is a sport anime that anyone can relate to because they also happen in our lives. When I watch the show, I just realize how I really missed my time with my friends during our secondary school. I make new friends, spent my precious time with them, making memories along the way. This show just nailed it when it comes to emphasize the relationship between friends. They show that even friends would fight sometimes but never forget to point out that they also can reconcile. The characters really are the strongest aspect in this show. You will love them even though they might not be in the same team as the main character. So, my overall score will be 8.5 out of 10 and don't worry, the show consists of several seasons, so you have a lot of episodes to watch and enjoy. That's all from me, thank you for reading.
